This show was *Burns voice* "Excellent" but now it's crap. 17 seasons is too much, should have ended at about 8.

I haven't watched it in such a loooooong time.

I stopped awhile back but I watched the frst two episodes of season 17 yesterday and they weren't very good.

Yeah they were, I must have seen each one of season 1-8 about 10 times each, ah my child hood.

FINALLY got to see that. That was cool!!! Interesting; the thought of a live-action movie based on the Simpsons. I loved the Homer sound effects though, had me cracking up

Loved the hour long finale this week. The 24 spoof was great and the 400th episode had me cracking up. Even after 400 episodes they still got it.

Greetings from Springfield!!! (actually Comic-Con 2007). Deez here with some BIG scoops on the new season of THE SIMPSONS that premieres 9-23-07! Read on!

{Sidebar id=1}A day after the huge opening of The Simpsons Movie, the writers, creator Matt Groening and Yeardley Smith (Lisa Simpson) stopped by the con and give us some jucy bits of information for the upcoming season of the show!

The panel started off with a DELETED SCENE from the new movie. Involving Homer trying to get back to Springfield by hitching a ride in the back of sausage truck. In the scene, the driver (Hank Azaria) pulls to the side of the road and Homer gets out the back. He thanks the driver and walks off.... The driver gets out to check the load, (singing his little sausage song), when he opens the gate.. he screams. Next shot is of Homer climbing a hill, a trail of sausages hanging out of his mouth....

Next - we talked about the upcoming season and got some major spoilers for some key episodes!!!

1- Spider pig makes an appearance in the first episode!!!

2- Novemeber there will be an episode where a New Comic Store opens in Springfield and the two Comic Guys go Mano-a-Mano... The new comic guy will be JACK BLACK.. Guest voices to include SERGIO AREGIONAS, and none other than ALAN MOORE!!!!

3- In February, there will be an episode dealing with Springfield somehow getting the first Pirmary Presidential Election...and Homer decides to launch a protest vote campaign for the most unlikely candidate...Ralph Wiggum! He some how becomes the front runner!!! Special Voice to include none other than JOHN STEWART!!!

4- Sideshow Bob comes back in November! Along with his bother (DAVID HYDE PIERCE) and his father (JOHN MAHONEY)

5- The Valentine Episode- will be a take off of "Sid and Nancy"!!! Lisa Simpson will be totally Nancy Speungeoning out!!!

We were also treated to the opening of the upcoming "Treehouse of Horror" episode - it deals with Fox's incessant use of little ads for other shows popping up on the screen... HILARIOUS!!!!

...also Sideshow Bob will have a prominent role in the New Simpsons ride at Universal!!!

I loved the movie tie-in opening of the season premiere. I thought that was awesome.

I also agree that the season is off to a great start.

The New Treehouse of Horror is on tonight at 8 on Fox! It's got bits parodying Hitchcock, 28 Days Later, and Sweeny Todd.

Last year's Halloween special airs before it at 7:30

great episode! every segment was solid and funny. one of the best treehouses in years

in a move that makes you go "D'oh!" Fox is releasing season 20 on dvd in January. yet they've been releasing the other seasons twice a year, and are only on season 12.....yeah.....that's logical

Season 20 was pretty poor too .. I watched most of it and maybe there were 3 episodes that were decent.. the rest were literally almost rewrites of older episodes .. I found myself saying 'hey haven't I seen this one before?' quite a bit

true, but the new season is looking to be much better so far. and they're back to doing one plot per episode instead of two

yeah so far I'm enjoying this season for the most part
