For some reason, Windows Movie Maker no longer wants to cooperate with me on this, giving me the following error:

An interface has too many methods to fire events from

after choosing best quality for playback on my computer and clicking next. If I select a different setting I either get that or an unspecified error.

I used Image Mixer, the software that came with the camera, but it took 300 MB for an 11 minute video. The camera is a JVC-GRD72U.

Any suggestions on alternate methods to convert this to PC???

Thanks in advance!

Did some searching on the internet. It's possible you might need to download the following codec.

I have no idea what VLC Media Player is but the following might help.

Thanks, hopefully I can get a small enough file to host on my site and you all can join us in Narnia at MGM smile.gif

Thanks Sara, she talks about Narnia even more than I do, which is really hard to imagine, lol!

I think I'm going to try the transfer on my laptop. I need to reformat the hard drive on this PC and start from scratch. It won't run QuickTime or iTunes, doesn't want to import my avis into Movie Maker, it's a mess, and I just got it in January!

It runs most stuff fine, but there's something about Quick Time that it didn't like and that screwed up iTunes, now neither will run. I went all through the registry deleting references to iTunes, but don't have the energy to do the same for QuickTime. I'll just save everything to discs and start from scratch!

Glad you liked the video, but if I'd been able to do it in Movie Maker like I wanted, it would have been much smaller smile.gif
